Welcome, bag and equipment check (we can welcome you on our premises in L’Argentière-La Bessée for equipment hire).
We use ski lift up to the top of the Pelvoux Vallouise resort, then we’ll have 700 metres of positive ascent to reach the summit of La Blanche at 2953m.
Depending on the snow conditions and avalanche risk at the time, the guide will take the most appropriate route, arriving at the summit usually by snack time. From the summit of La Blanche, you can admire the Vallouise valley, with the Viso massif towering above the Queyras massif to the south and the peaks of the Ecrins National Park nearing 4,000 metres just behind.
It’s not easy to leave this singular place, but the call of the slopes will draw us down the southern slopes to ski more than 1,700 metres of descent....
A good beer or hot chocolate usually concludes this wonderful day of mountain sharing.
End of our day late afternoon at the meeting point.
NB : The programme is intended as a guide only. It could be modified at any time by the mountain guide for safety reasons, weather conditions or regarding the physical and technical level of the skiers.
