Halfway between mountaineering and rock climbing, ice climbing is practised with crampons on and ice axe in hand, in a crystal-clear setting. The Pays des Ecrins area is the undisputed paradise for this astonishing climbing.
Requiring no particular skills, ice climbing is accessible to all, so why not come and try out this funny activity in a magical environment? The Fournel and Fressinières valleys offer a huge variety of sites, so whether you’re a beginner or an experienced climber, we’ll find the right icy wall for you.
This half-day intro to ice climbing is offered every Tuesday and Thursday from mid-December to early March, during school holidays (Christmas and February) but also every Sunday and Monday out of the school breaks.
Private booking and bespoke half-day for groups are available, price on request.
