Moving around in the mountains in winter outside safe areas exposes you to risks that you have to accept, but which you can limit by adopting appropriate practices.
This initial training course will give you the tools to anticipate (understand an avalanche risk bulletin, a weather report, plan an itinerary, etc.), assess (observe and interpret snow conditions, recognise avalanche situations) and adapt (change route, give up, understand and apply the instructor’s instructions), all essential skills for getting around safely in a snowy environment.
You will put what you’ve learned into practice on the beautiful itineraries of the Pays des Ecrins. This course is aimed at anyone, whatever their level of experience, who want to build a solid knowledge base to safely expand their practice of wintersports.
