All about our stays

Our formulas

Our stays range from 2 to 10 days. They are all offered on an all-inclusive basis i.e. including supervision, half-board or full-board accommodation, ski lifts if necessary and collective equipment.

We offer optional extras including rental of personal technical equipment and extra nights if you wish to arrive the day before your course or enjoy an extra evening in the mountains.

Extras also include insurance (assistance and cancellation). Cancellation insurance is not compulsory, but it guarantees you a refund (total or partial) in the event of cancellation of your trip (for a valid reason and according to a precise schedule. See details in our Conditions of Sale).
Assistance insurance is compulsory. You can either send us the details of your personal insurance policy - in which case you have to make sure to be covered for medical expenses, personal accident & liabilité, third party risks and rescue and properly insured for the chosen activity
or take out insurance with our partner Europ Assistance (see registration form).

Which trip is best for me ?

Whatever the activity, each trip requires technical skills and physical condition.
Our stays fall into three categories:

  • Level 1: beginner: if you’re a beginner in the activity; you’d like to learn the basic techniques and get started gently.
  • Level 2: intermediate : you already practice or have already practiced, and would like to perfect your skills and go further in your practice.
  • Level 3: advanced: you are an experienced climber/mountaineer/skier and would like to apply your skills on more physically and technically demanding races/climbs/trails.

To get the most out of mountain activities, the key word is progression. There’s no point in starting for an outing that’s too difficult; you wouldn’t get any pleasure out of it, and you wouldn’t learn anything from it. If you have any doubts, we’re here to help you make the right choice.

For all these mountain sports, the best preparation is to practice an endurance sport.
Endurance is a type of physical exercise of long duration and moderate intensity (that can be maintained over a prolonged period), but enough to increase heart rate and energy expenditure without causing breathlessness. For example, running for 30 to 45 minutes, cycling, swimming or walking at high cadence, at least 2 to 3 times a week.

Health condition
We do not require a medical certificate attesting to your ability to take part in the activity you have chosen. By signing your registration form, you acknowledge that you have read the relevant recommendations and that you meet them in every respect. However, if you are not a seasoned athlete, or if you practice a physical activity that requires more resistance than endurance (bodybuilding in particular), we recommend that you have a medical check-up to ensure that there are no contraindications to practicing the activity.

Mont-blanc ascent : special warning
For many people, conquering the roof of the Alps is a dream. Beware, however: while the climb does not present any major technical difficulties, it is physically very demanding. Remember that above 3,000 meters altitude, the efforts are no longer the same. That’s why we recommend a preparatory outing to the Ecrins or the Italian Alps, for example, to familiarize yourself with the high-mountain environment. This will enable you to assess your physical condition and your aptitude for prolonged effort at high altitude. It’s also a great way to make sure you’re on the winning side when it comes to climbing Mont Blanc.

Group session or private guiding ?

Our stays are made on an in-group basis: you sign up alone or with others for one of our trips and share your adventure with other rope-mates of your level. If you sign up as a group, the departure is guaranteed as soon as the minimum number of participants required has been reached.

If you’d like to go it alone or as part of a group, you can also choose another formula, the Private guiding. This allows you to choose the date, the summit, the location and your rope-mates.
Each climbing course has its own price (which only includes supervision) and its own conditions. All details on demand.
If you wish, we can also give you an all-inclusive quote including accommodation, meals and technical equipment hire, depending on the activity chosen.

Whatever your project, contact us, so we can adapt a trip to suit you.

Want a Tailor-made trip ?

Whether you’re a school group, a work group, a group of friends or a family, if you’re looking for a tailor-made trip, give us a call and we’ll give you a quote.
Depending on your objectives and the level of the participants, we’ll advise you on the best destination and organize your stay down to the last detail.

Gift voucher ?

What could be better than offering adventure? If you’d like to give a gift, we’re here to advise you. If you’ve made up your mind, all you have to do is specify on the registration form that it’s a gift. Enter your contact details and those of the lucky recipient, and we’ll manage the rest...

Guiding ?

All our guides (mountain guides, mountain guide trainees, climbing instructors or mountain leaders) are certified. Their credo: teaching and conviviality, with just one goal : taking you as high as possible.
Tipping is no obligation but if you’re happy, delighted or fully satisfied with your stay, it’s customary to leave your guide a small tip.

Equipment ?

Clothes don’t make the man, but good tools make good workers ....!
Having the right equipment is one of the keys to safety and enjoyment. Be sure to refer to the equipment list contained in each stay information sheet.
If you’re an experienced skier or mountaineer, you’ll probably have your own equipment. If not, don’t worry, we propose for hire all the technical equipment you might need.
For mountaineering outings, we can also provide you with the appropriate technical clothing.
We offer all technical equipment for hire (and sale) on our premises, and work in partnership with gear rental companies located close to the departure sites.

Prices

Our trips are available at fixed or degressive rates. Degressive rates apply to certain programs, depending on the number of participants. You’ll find the details on each presentation sheet. The rate applied at the time of registration is always the rate proposed for the minimum number of participants, which enables us to guarantee departure as soon as this number is reached. If the final number of participants is higher, we will refund the difference at the end of your stay.

We accept payment by bank check, bank transfer, cash and vacation vouchers.

Safety and terms of sale

The mountains are an ever-changing and sometimes deceptive environment. Our guides are perfectly familiar with the environment in which you will be evolving, and are the only ones in a position to assess the feasibility of your ascents. The key word is always safety: they are the only judges of the program for each course, which they can modify at any time, for safety reasons depending on weather conditions, or on the physical and technical level of the participants.
